Sunwest Federal Credit Union Expands in Phoenix and Tucson

Founded in 1937, SunWest Federal Credit Union has over 77 years of experience in the financial industry.  They are committed to serve those who live, work, worship or attend school in either Maricopa County or Tucson.

With seven branches in Phoenix and Tucson, SunWest has plans to expand their reach in both markets.  Darren Pitts, executive vice president at Velocity Retail Group is handling the real estate expansion strategy.  “SunWest is a premier credit union with strong roots in our community.  We are excited to be working with them to strategically expand their branches in several areas of Phoenix and Tucson,” he said.

Site requirements are:

  • Parcel size of 50,000 to 60,000 square feet
  • Deal Structure could be a purchase or ground lease
  • Existing free-standing bank branches could be considered
  • Building size between 4,000 and 6,000 square feet
